Libby is your source for digital magazines!
Worried about overdue fees? Libby is digital, so there are no overdue charges. Libby offers FREE full-issue popular magazines that you can check out and read. choose from current or back issues of magazines, there is even a selection for children's and young adults and much more. You can download to a variety of devices including your tablet, smartphones, mobile devices, and computers.

Magazines check out for 21 days, however they are always available. So if a patron has to return an issue, they can just check it out again. Magazines DO NOT count toward the checkout limit and back issues are also available for check out. 

Download the Libby App

  1. Install the Libby app from your device's app store. Apple App Store Google Play Windows Store  
  2. Or, visit libbyapp.com in your Chrome, Safari, Firefox, or Edge (Chromium) browser.
  3. Open the Libby app.

Add a Library

  1. Tap on the black circle located in the top right hand corner of the page.libby notification icon  
  2. Tap "Add A Library"
  3. In the Search box, search for "Flint River" or "Georgia Download Destination"
  4. Tap the red box that says Georgia Download Destination
  5. You can then search for items by author or title by using the magnifier tool at the top of the page.

Link your Library Card to your Account

  1. Tap on "Shelf"
  2. Tap on the black circle located in the top right hand corner of the page.
  3. Tap "Add a Library Card"
  4. Enter your library card number with no spaces. This will connect your library card to your Georgia Download Destination account and you will not have to enter your library card each to you browse or borrow an item.
  5. Tap "Next"

Browse the catalog and borrow a title

  1. Click on "Library"
  2. Search for a title using the magnifier tool at the top of the page.
  3. Audiobooks will have an "audio" earbud icon located at the bottom of the picture
  4. Click "Borrow
  5. Borrowed titles will then appear under your "Shelf" under "Loans". All loans will download to the app automatically when you're connected to Wi-Fi, so you can read them when you're offline.

Manage Your Loans

  1. From your Loans shelf you can tap "Open Audiobook" to listen to the audiobook OR Tap "Read With..." to choose where you'd like to read the book (Kindle or Libby), then finish sending to Kindle or start reading in Libby.
  2. Tap "Manage Loan" to renew or return items. (Only items that do not have a waiting list will be eligible for renewal 3 days before the due date.)
